Dr. Walter Meier, President & CEO                                   Dr. Walter Meier (Swiss), born 1951, is the founder, CEO and strategic driving force of the BT&T Asset Management AG. It is his management, dedicated research and development work that has created BT&T's stratey, research infrastructure and empirically based approach to investment management, as well as the highly qualified BT&T team.
Dr. Meier is a specialist in strategic management and corporate finance.
After a technical apprenticeship and two years in the mechanical engineering industry, Dr. Meier returned to his studies, gaining a Masters in Economics and Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, where he also earned his doctorate. His entire career path has prepared him well for his present position: Starting in business consultancy, Dr. Meier moved on to the strategic planning staff of a technology group, then became profit centre head in the technical consumer goods segment and manager of a restructuring project for a global engineering company. Later he took on the overall management of a far-reaching strategy project at a major services group, founded and expanded a private equity investment company focusing on growth companies, developed and placed a financial product for the credit financing of eight Swiss cities and masterminded the takeover and strategic refocusing of a software company in the financial sector and the establishment and development of an integrated fund management system. The combined wealth of this experience led in 1994 to the foundation of BT&T and the company's operational start in 1995/96.



 
Dr. Andreas Düsterhöft, COO and Deputy CEO                  Dr. Andreas Düsterhöft (German), born 1961, is Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of BT&T Asset Management AG and heads the operational business of the company. He joined the BT&T Group in 2002, when he carried responsibility for the company's Fundamental Research within the investment universe LIFE (Lifetechnology-Information-Food-Environment), i.e. in the area "around life and health worldwide". During this period he was, amongst others, involved in the development, the inception and the continuous support of today's HPS LIFE World Fund of the mperical Asset Management AG Group. Following the formation of mperical Asset Management AG, a spin-off of the BT&T Group, Dr. Düsterhöft became a Member of the Executive Management and subsequently Head of Operations between October 2004 and December 2007, where he was responsible for the areas Research & Investment Management and later Marketing, Distribution and Business Development of mperical. Previous to his entry into the Finance Industry and Asset Management Dr. Düsterhöft worked for QIAGEN N.V., an international Biotechnology company, both in Germany and the United States, where he established a Research Department and headed a Business Unit of the company. Based on a doctorate in Natural Sciences Dr. Düsterhöft has a scientific background in the area of Life Sciences, in particular in Molecular Biology, Gene Technology and Genome Research.


 

Marcel Stoop, CFO                                                           Marcel Stoop (Swiss), lic. oec. publ., born 1972, is the Chief Financial Officer of BT&T Asset Management AG. He joined the BT&T Group in 2005 and is Member of the Executive Board of BT&T Asset Management AG since January 1st, 2008. After his commercial apprenticeship at an international operating bank Marcel Stoop returned to his studies gaining a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Zurich  and extra-occupational the diploma of a Swiss Certified Accountant. His professional qualification for his function as CFO by BT&T he achieved previously as an executive revisor of an international trust association, in a senior position in the audit department of Deloitte and as Head of Accounting of a respectable law firm. As a Certified Accountant Marcel Stoop has adequate knowledge of accounting standards under Swiss law, FER and IFRS.
